About Department
Department of Civil Engineering was established in 2007 with an intake of 60 students.
The department has been imparting quality education to meet technological advancements and industrial requirements. This has been made possible due to qualified and dedicated faculty, state-of-the-art laboratories, and infrastructure facilities.
VISION:
- To produce empowered civil engineers with up-to-date technological knowledge and skills well blended with the Indian value system.
MISSION:
- M-1. To impart updated civil engineering knowledge and skills.
- M-2. To encourage research and develop innovative thinking and problem-solving.
- M-3. To groom students for all-around development.
- M-4. To imbibe Indian values, which are symbiosis with humanity and the environment.
PROGRAM EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVE (PEOs):
- PEO-1. Graduates should be capable of analyzing, formulating, and tackling civil engineering challenges faced by the nation and society.
- PEO-2. Graduates should be able to work as a team in industry, utilizing the necessary professional and communication skills.
- PEO-3. Graduates should be capable of pursuing research to develop new ideas and products to serve the country and society.
- PEO-4. Graduates are to be ethical and responsible global citizens working for the development of society with a conscience.
PROGRAM SPECIFIC OUTCOMES (PSOs):
- PSO-1. To gain civil engineering and related knowledge.
- PSO-2. To be able to apply gained civil engineering and related knowledge to analyze civil engineering-related problems.
- PSO-3. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs within economic, environmental, manufacturability, sustainability, social, political, health, and safety limitations.
- PSO-4. To understand existing field techniques in civil engineering, modern tools, and latest developments in civil engineering, and engage in lifelong learning.
- PSO-5.An ability to work, lead, and communicate effectively in multi-disciplinary projects; demonstrate social responsibility and professional ethics.
